Kilim Rugs, Runners & Cushions

Kilims are flat tapestry woven rugs.  Kilims are produced by tightly interweaving the warp and weft strands of the weave to produce a flat surface with no pile.

The design and style of each Kilim rug reflects the identity of the village, for example the Kurdish Kilim rugs are often brighter and mixed with embroidery.  Kilims have been used as covers for doors and windows in the nomadic homes, or as prayer rugs.

The Kilim plays a vital role within families and dwellings.  Each Kilim rug will be made up of symbols of the family tradition and tribal identity.

No two of these hand woven Kilims will be the same, each of our Kilim rugs is completely unique.
